Still Life
Still life images created on my table top at home. I am looking to create images that convey a mood or feeling. Very much influenced by the Dutch Masters, I am just starting out with this genre.
Double Six
Double Six was an image created using a vase from the charity shop. The idea of double six was that there are 12 petals on the honesty (including the fallen one) and thus reflects the dots on the domino.
Dust covered
The light was beaming into the wood shed of a friend, but with no camera to hand, it fell to the iPhone to capture the scene. Careful positioning to get the aspect and composition right, and a few tweaks via LR Mobile ensured that this scene was not missed. This image gained a silver medal at the prestigious Toronto International Salon of Photography.
Harvest Fruit
Harvest Fruit was an idea inspired by the great Dutch Masters - using LED lights carefully positioned to provide depth to the image and with precise staging of the fruit to give a pleasing composition.

Last letter
Last letter was made in honour of all the fallen soldiers and those that were left behind, their futures altered forever. This image received a Bronze medal from the prestigious Toronto International Salon in 2024
Stamp collector
Stamp collector was created using personal artefacts to conjure the illusion of an old desk of a collector.

Cracked was created using strobe lights to capture the black background and the trickle from the eggs.

Opposites attract was shot as a single image using careful placement of lights to ensure that the whites and blacks were as true as possible.
